On March 27, the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev, and First Lady Mehriban Aliyeva attended the inauguration of the first phase of the village of Sarıcalı in the Aghdam district. This village, located 6 kilometers from the center of Aghdam city, was founded by President Ilham Aliyev on October 4, 2022.

The village of Sarıcalı is planned to accommodate 1,873 people (425 families). The total designed area exceeds 123 hectares. Within the scope of the first phase, 203 individual houses have already been built and commissioned according to modern standards for settlement.

All necessary conditions have been created here to ensure employment for the population. Various institutions for educational, economic, social, and domestic purposes, as well as club-community and cultural centers, have been built. Social issues have also been addressed. Internal roads, electricity, communication, and water lines have been laid, and gas supply has been provided.

Sarıcalı village in the Aghdam district is the first village to be inaugurated after liberation from occupation by President Ilham Aliyev and First Lady Mehriban Aliyeva. The 203 individual houses intended for settlement in this village were built by the independent “6-ci Mertebe” company .
